    That SPM thing is just what the doctor ordered: only been asking for it for 10 years, finally made it to the “bleeding obvious” stage!
    Better late than never, I suppose.
    Thanks for the notice, Tanel: this will definitely make a change in our schedule to go 11g, making it much more likely to happen next year.

    There’s still an interesting thing with the plan stability which I want to test: how well does the plan management work when you do DDL on underlying objects themselves (as opposed to just gathering stats or patching database version.
