Oracle 11g patchset 11.1.0.7 for Linux is released

September 21st, 2008

I’ve been too busy lately to write anything serious here (and still am).

I noticed that that Oracle 11g patchset 11.1.0.7 for Linux 32/64bit is available, so that’s what I’ll be dealing with during my 20 hour flight from Singapore to San Francisco tomorrow :)

See you at Oracle OpenWorld and thanks for all the people who signed up for my troubleshooting session. The room I was supposed to speak in got fully booked, my session got moved to a larger room which is now full as well. So see you on Thursday 9am in Moscone South room 306 (unless it’s changed again…)

    Dear Tanel,

Thanks very very much for the stuff you are publishing in your blog. It will be better and very interesting if you could write a small article in which you explain the oracle environment you are using (Linux + Oracle 11G), where to get them and how to install them correctly. Thus we will have the same environment as yours. I believe it is very important for oracle incompetents like me.

    Thanks

I installed Oracle 11g standard edition and then subsequently installed oracle database patchset 11.1.0.7.
Prior to installing oracle database patcheset it was showing as standard edition.
Post installing database patchset p6890831_111070_SOLARIS64.zip as mentioned in admin guide, it showed as enterprise edition.

Do we have any patchset for oracle 11g standard edition ??

    Is this expected behavior ??

Could you please help me in this regard.
