- First I learnt to trust instrumentation for troubleshooting. Then I learnt to distrust it for advanced troubleshooting.
- an SSD hard drive for my laptop is my 2nd best investment in tech gadgets. 1st: noise-cancelling headphones. iphone will be 3rd :)
- i just reduced my winXP VM size from 46GB to 11GB by dropping a snapshot, zeroing unused space (sdelete -c) and shrink disk
- just booked my flights for September #MOTS conference and OOW in SFO plus couple of days in NYC
- SQL vs NoSQL is a completely different question from Monolithic Always Consistent vs Distributed Maybe Consistent database architecture.
